It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.
— Paul Caponigro

I am a portrait photographer.

It’s my passion. My job is to tell a story, capture a connection, record a memory, and most importantly, make you look good.

I am a photographic artist with more than thirty years of experience creating artful images across multiple genres. I am the mother of two, a former Childbirth Doula and La Leche Leader.

I began my career with a degree in design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

My husband and I were the owners of The Gallery in Bethel, Connecticut which featured the work of iconic photographers such as Pete Turner; best known for his bold use of color, and Barbara Morgan whose images of dancers include the classic photograph of Martha Graham, Letter to the World.

I have worked with the International Center of Photography, The Lucie Foundation, and Kodak on their Awards Programs, a position that allowed me to meet some of the most important photographers of the industry; an experience that has greatly influenced my artistic vision.

From 2016 until 2021, I studied with Peter Hurley, a photographer from NYC who wrote the book on Headshot Photography.

I am currently working towards Certification with my mentor, Sandra Coan; a photographer and educator whose lighting technique known as The Sandra Coan Method™ helps create simple but classic portrait images.
